When you visit the Rusty Hoe, if you don't see me inside the greenhouse or out front by the produce stand - it's a safe bet I'm elbows over ankles in one of the gardens. We begin our season in November by tilling under all the remaining organic matter, adding compost, and allowing the grounds to lay fallow until they thaw in the spring.
We begin our spring season with snow peas in January, followed by potatoes in February.
